Identify the connector within the assembled lead.
A cable assembly supplier and its connector manufacturer may be different. Establish whether the installed interface is a CRE metal-shell connector or another specified connector before defining the cable replacement.
Harness and breakout geometry
For a branched assembly, provide branch lengths, breakout positions, connector orientation and circuit identification. Record which sections move and where the assembly is restrained.
Installed route and replacement method
Identify access constraints, free-end termination and whether the complete lead or only a section is being replaced. Include material, inspection and documentation requirements.
