Circular, Micro Circular, Low Profile and Nano references describe different connection formats. Record the complete reference at both ends of the existing lead, rather than selecting a replacement by appearance or pin count.
Signal, power or data duty
A similar shell does not establish the electrical requirement. State the circuit allocation; add protocol and shielding requirements for data, or impedance and frequency for coaxial signals.
Cable and service access
Define the length, free-end preparation, cable exit and handling clearance. Include whether connection takes place underwater or after equipment recovery.
