Specify both ends of a subsea connection

A double-ended subsea cable assembly joins two defined equipment interfaces. Treat End A and End B as separate selections, even when the connectors look identical. The wiring, orientation and installed length determine whether the lead fits the system.

End A and End B
Give the mating part number, contact count and contact gender for each end. Identify different equipment interfaces explicitly rather than describing the cable only as “male to female”.
Pin-to-pin wiring
Provide a wiring schedule showing every conductor, screen and unused contact. Straight-through wiring must be specified; contact numbering and the view used on each drawing should be clear.
Length, orientation and service
Mark length endpoints and the relative orientation of angled connectors. Include bends, service loops, movement and strain-relief locations, plus the operating pressure and required acceptance tests.

Can each end use a different connector family?

Discuss the two mating references as a custom assembly requirement. The electrical duty, cable construction, mechanical envelope and environmental limits must be reviewed together before a combination is confirmed.

PRODUCT + APPLICATION ENGINEERING

Custom underwater cable assemblies, configured for your installation.

Specify the whole connection: single-ended or double-ended subsea cable assemblies, proximity switch leads and custom harness requirements. Cable construction, connector interfaces, length, pin assignment and termination must suit the equipment and operating environment.
