Build the cable around your Circular interface
Circular subsea cable assemblies connect a specified equipment interface to a free-end termination or another connector. Choose the assembly by the actual mating parts and wiring, then define the cable route and immersion duty.
- Identify the mating half
- Record the exact connector reference, contact count, gender and face layout. Circular and Micro Circular are separate family choices; similar appearance does not establish interchangeability.
- Choose the far-end termination
- For a free end, specify conductor identification, strip lengths and screen treatment. For a second connector, supply its mating reference and a pin-to-pin wiring schedule.
- Agree the operating and handling conditions
- State maximum working depth, water temperature, immersion duration and whether mating will occur underwater. Follow the selected connector’s procedure; review the cable and both terminations for the complete duty.
Does a wet-mate interface establish the cable’s depth rating?
No. Wet mating describes permitted connection conditions. The selected connector, cable construction and terminations need an agreed assembly pressure rating for the installation. Specify the working depth and any pressure-test requirements with the enquiry.
