START WITH THE FUNCTION

What do you need to detect or control?

Choose the job first. Then compare the mounting, connection and material options within that range.

Why choose one proximity switch over another?

1. Mounting & space

Match the body, thread and cable exit to your drawing. A different thread or larger housing does not, by itself, mean better sensing performance.

2. Connection & cable

Choose the Nano, Micro, Circular or cable-connected arrangement around the required mating interface, pin assignment and cable route. Connector names alone do not establish compatibility.

3. Materials & operating duty

Specify the body and connector materials separately, together with the water conditions, pressure, temperature and electrical load. Confirm the final assembly against its agreed specification.

CHOOSE THE SWITCH CONNECTION

Help me choose a switch ↗

Three connector families.
Four interface options.

Nano, Micro and Circular are wet-mateable connector families. Choose Micro Straight or Micro Right Angle (90°) to suit the cable route. M12, M18 and UNF describe the switch mounting thread.

Specify depth with the complete assembly. The Nano M12 SS configuration is rated to 700 bar (approximately 7,000 m seawater). Other combinations need their own agreed pressure/depth rating, including the connector and cable termination.
